This piece evokes a feeling of interconnectedness. There is a tension between the loose, expressive brushstrokes and the grid-like structure created by the white lines and drips.
This tension is an expression of the many conflicting and challenging feelings and thoughts I experienced during menopause. Painting helped me to express and process these emotions that were often difficult to put into words.
