There's a sense of raw energy and layered complexity in this piece. The interplay of colours, particularly the muted greys and blues contrasted with pinks and purples, creates a feeling of both tension and harmony. I had to dig deep and find resilience when I was coping with the challenges of menopause. I had a bizarre and disturbing experience of everything in my mind and being falling apart, yet also being intricately connected. It was so difficult to put into words what I was feeling during this time and painting really helped me process my experience.
