In this piece I've created a layered, almost dreamlike atmosphere. The combination of grid-like structures, organic textures and the interplay of pinks, greens, and muted greys creates a sense of both containment and fluidity. The drips and splatters feel expressive, as if emotions are breaking through structured boundaries.
It makes me feel introspective - there's the energy of movement, but also a quiet restraint, like a memory or an idea trying to take shape. It symbolises interconnectedness, transformation and a sense of dissonance between order and chaos.
These are all feelings that arose as I faced the challenges of menopauses. At times I experienced such conflicting emotions and thoughts, it was difficult to put into words what I was feeling. Painting really helped me process my emotions at a challenging time in my life.
