The use of drips, splatters and geometric elements suggests movement and fluidity, like a memory or emotion being uncovered. The contrast between the structured grid-like forms and the organic, chaotic brushstrokes adds a tension that feels both calming and unsettling. 

These opposing elements in the piece perfectly reflect the struggles and tensions I experienced facing the challenges of menopause. Often it was easier to paint than try and put into words the feelings and thoughts that came up during this time.
