This piece evokes a mix of emotions. The overlapping lines, drips and textured layers create a sense of movement and complexity. The combination of cool blues and greys contrasted with the energetic pinks and purples, gives a feeling of both chaos and controlled expression.
It feels raw and spontaneous, and perfectly expresses the challenging feelings and thoughts I was experiencing during menopause. I was grateful to be able to process these through painting, as finding the words to articulate how I was feeling was often difficult.
